Overview

LSA is a concurrent process of different logistics engineering disciplines, who analyse design concepts or configurations following the chain of questions – how often, what/which quantity, why, when, where, how - is used or required, may it be material, manpower, tools, documentation, training, transportation, storage, computer resources, inventory, maintenance shops etc.

The seminar gives an overview on life cycle cost elements, their significance for maintenance costs and their role in logistics analysis processes.
The most important analysis processes like Reliability, Maintainability Analysis (RMA), Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Reliability Centred Maintenance /RCMA), Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) and Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA) are demonstrated.

This presentation gives an outline of MIL-STD-1388-1A, the guide line for logistics engineering, and reference will be made to the Logistic Support Analysis Record (LSAR), the database, and the data elements defined by MIL-STD-1388-2B.
There will also be a reference to standards like DEF-0060 and MI/MIL-PRF-49506.
